is it ok to take 1 stock head bolt out at a time and replace it with ARP's? my friend just got em and he doesnt have a new headgasket, nor the time to replace it. they were used, so will moly lube be needed again? thanks in advance.

well when im talking specifically about changing head bolts, and u ask me if im referring to the arp head studs...makes me wonder wat kind of help u can really offer me when u obviously couldnt grasp the concept that i was talking about HEAD BOLTS. and explain to me what the right way is since u know so much. :|

Ok tell me this. Seeing that the headstuds HAVE to be torqued in sequence to get an EVEN clamp.(unless you are wanting to blow a headgasket) How would you get an even torque on each stud doing it that way. Im not saying it hasnt been done, but I dont think its very smart. Just the .02 from an idiot female..

Also what if the head is warped the slightest bit? Lossen one bolt and oil could seep through and ruin the gasket. Plus you are suppose to CLEAN the thread holes thoroughly.
IE: when you pull one of the bolts oil is going to run down into the hole.

It's not safe to do one at a time on a na let alone a HG that sees boost.

To anwser in one word NO. It will blow the HG at some point, because HG can't be decompressed and then compressed again.

If you want ARP's then get a new HG, then the head studs.

Why do you even want them yet, if the stock ones are fine. wait til it blows or the t-belt brakes and replace with ARP's. Why half-a$$ only to have problems later.

Sorry for the anger, but if you come in with a bad temper like yours, not many people will help. They could have just made fun of you for thinking you could take one out at a time and everything would be dandy.
