Hello,
I noticed that the brace fitting on the oil line to the aftermarket oil pressure gauge has a very minor leak but I want to fix it. Is it just a universal fitting? How should I go about replacing it. I am new so bare with me please.
Thanks for the help!

pics help wonders if your new and not sure what your looking at. the pressure sender on the oil filter housing probably just needs to be sealed better with thread locker.

Is it a pass thru connector? If it is you could take it to a parts house. I believe it is called a bulkhead fitting. It is probably 1/8 or 3/16 inch compression fittings.

But I agree, either a picture or a better description would help

I know pics would help. I'm going to take good ones tomorrow. Is there an easy way to load pics? Imageshack? Thanks guys!

..this is sounding suspiciously like a mechanical oil pressure gauge. Is it leaking from the sender or is it leaking from the "oil line"?

The original sender I believe has a very slight leak, as well as the aftermarket gauge from where it is tapped into. The compression fitting is leaking a drop or to. If I replace the fitting will oil poor out? Also the line for the aftermarket gauge has a couple air bubbles in it every time I look at it. Could this be why my oil pressure reads 70psi until its warm, then it goes back down to 20psi at idle and 45-50psi at cruising speed.
Thanks guys. Is there a easy way to post pictures on my thread? Thanks!

A easier way you resize the picture and upload, the picture, from the computer or where ever it is, similar to when you posted your avatar picture.

The air bubbles are normal and won't affect anything; your oil pressure readings also sound perfectly fine.
This is precisely why I only use electric pressure gauges in my cars, but you should be able to source a new plastic hose from any auto parts store. Just tell them you need a new plastic hose kit for an aftermarket oil pressure gauge. They are universal, so any one should fit. It should include the hose, two tube nuts, and two copper farrels.

Thanks guys. Il have to check it out. When I replace the line will my oil keep draining out? And I'm going to upload and resize them now.

some oil should come out sure, but for that you may be able to jack up car and possibly keep it from coming out. or ya probably best at oil change.

Here are pics of what i think is only an old valve cover, The reason why there is a little oil in the timing belt cover. They also show the fitting and a drip that gathers also on the back of the oil pan. Would that be the original sending unit? Thanks guys hope the pics help.

Cam seals maybe leaking, valve cover leaks, a bad line on the oil filter housing, i see a leak there.

The line in the oil filter housing is my oil pressure gauge, that fitting just beads up and drops one drop every now and then. I'll check the cam seals. Is that what would cause the slight oil build up in the timing belt cover. How difficult are they to replace?
