Is it possible to replace front lower ball joints by pressing them in and without purchasing the whole control arm?

This is on a 1g awd

I just asked the same question not to long ago and someone said to just go to Napa to get them. Im not done with my car so I have not done them yet. It does not look like you can just push them out. Does anyone know do they just press out and how to press them out?

That's exactly what I did. Bought the replacement parts from NAPA, removed the c-clip, pressed out the old and pressed in the new and lock them in with the new c-clip.

I had to do it twice because the seal on the bottom of one joint started leaking and I found that the rear shaft of the control arm where is fits into the bushing was rusted to the point where it flopped around in the bushing so I had to replace the control arms with some used california parts.

If it is the same as a 91-92 GVR4 you can do OEM also Part # MB241883. (Even tho Mitsu doesn't list it, it's the one)

They didnt have the ball joint alone . When i did mine on my own car napa's piece did the job but i had to pay for the whole piece . what for installation it was horror so ill hope for u the bolt holding your joing is not stuck/broken .
