ok so here goes. I have search for over an hour an cant find anything. i have 2 manifold to turbo bolts broke off in turbo, it is a 16g. now heres my question. most turbo have a bolt clamp to seperate, mine does not it has a keeper ring of sort on exhaust side. the problem is when i clamp down on it with the angle pliers, it will not budge at all, i mean at all. any suggestions? any advice welcome. thanks in advance. josh

i would just go buy a new turbo but im kind of on a budget, ive tried to drill them out but it wouldnt have it. and also, does anybody know where i can buy a td05 exhaust housing?

Sounds to me like you have one of the early Bullseye Power turbine housings that mounted to the center housing of a MHI turbo using a large snap ring. Good luck getting that thing off without cutting it.

How about taking it to a machine shop and seeing what they can do for you?

all local shops said they could cut off the corners of the flange where the bolts are and weld new metal and redrill it to same specs. at 90 bucks an hour, he said it would take like 3 or 4 hours to do so, and it would probably mess up seals. i kinda got the notion that most of these guy around her dont know turbos. another question. if i can get that housing off where would i get one to replace it, or would a newer style with a bolt on style clamp work?

oh, i forgot to mention to i had another local machine shop try to drill them out, but they said they kept breaking bits, and it started drilling sideways, yet they continued to drill all the way thru. so they get half bolt and half flange when drilling. so if i could drill all the way through, do you think it would safe to use a nut on the bottom end or just weld 2 studs in those and put a nut on the top, like the stock t25?

my dad also suggested to use a cutoff wheel to cut a v shape in the corner of the flange to get the bolt out. but i was thinking that would make the flange weaker.

i also have an older t25. its got a little bit of white burn marks on the exhaust turbine, and a slight surface crack from around wastegate flapper to the exhaust flange. it is a surface crack and not real deep. but it doesnt have hardly any shaft play at all, just a slight side to side
