Big 16G Turbo exhaust Housing

Whats going on here? I assume the flapper arm has been cut and rewelded? It doesn't match up with the hole at all. I'm thinking about junking the turbo as it needs rebuilt. Found kits for $30. Housing for $250. Seems a little steep. Might as well buy new. Thought about porting and not worrying to much about the cracks and maybe installing a larger flapper. As for the flapper arm whats going on? Thanks for advice/opinions.

mines the same way on my 14b, i put it on anyways and it runs good it just constantly has gas fumes coming out of my dumptube

Search on EBay for the housings. Wes (knoochgoon24) bought an eBay housing and hasn't had any problems with it. It was around $80 IIRC.

I just put a new ebay 7cm housing on my 14b and it works very well. The only thing is that I think the wastegate elbow is different. You will need to find a custom way to attach the actuator. The arm on the housing is too large for the small hole on the actuator arm

Justin (jusmx141) has told me that the ebay ones are prone to crack less and has see mitsu housing crack all the time.

Actually, I did have a problem. They are on 5 week back order through several of the companies. I'm still waiting on my refund...

Other people have run the eBay ones though.
