I'm having to replace my driverside axle on my GS-T because the CV Boot is torn and it makes a horrible squeaking noise every time I turn or go over a bump. I'm not sure if I have ABS or not and was wondering what would happen if I purchased an axle for ABS models if I didn't have ABS or the other way around.

If your car does not have ABS you can put an axle in that has an ABS ring on it and it wont matter. It wont interfere with anything or cause any problems. Everything around the axle is made the same whether or not it has ABS. So you will be fine. The company I work for sells new axles and they all come with an ABS ring on them.

I've heard that non abs axles are stronger, but i guess thats just a myth, but as he said it really won't matter. Advance offers a life time warranty and they are relatively cheap.
