2G Replacement heater core alignment

So the new heater core hoses don't align with the firewall alignment/seal piece. Has anyone had this problem with new heater cores? I don't want to bend them because they aren't even close. Should I just return it and hope another works?

Is the second picture the new heater core? Why is it all bent up?

Thats the old one for reference. Well I lost the damn receipt so can I bend this with heat?

You should be able to bend it by hand without heat. I have had to do that before to get things to line up. Aftermarket parts never seem to fit perfectly.

It looks like the upper pipe is way off, maybe you should get another heater core and hope it fits better, then return the one with that does not fit with your new receipt.

So I bought another and has the exact same wrong bend. On the website is the identical bend http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/OHT1/94807/02709.oap#compatibilityTab_ . I'm thinking the avengers and sebrings have a similar heater core with different bends and o'reilly has the wrong information.

Ok. After waiting 3 weeks on mistuparts.com for a back order they say they can't get them anymore. Where can I get a heater core for a 97 gsx?
