removing cruise control

i just removed all the cruise related stuff. it didnt work anyway. im planning on just building a cable myself using some of the existing componnents. going to reuse the adjustable part of the cable and the bracket that bolts on the firewall. probably use a barrel bolt to connect the 2 and terminate the cable to the right length. anyone got a better idea? ill post up what i did if it helps anyone else. that cruis shit takes up far too much space in the engine bay. UGLY!

I think you should just buy the non cruise cable. Its easier and proven to work.

There is a thread on here somewhere that someone made there own. If you buy the non cruise cable you can tuck it under the intake and it will work better.

i dont want to sound dumb, but I need to get a new headlight switch for my 1G and i want to get rid of the cruise control. would it hurt anything if i got the non cruise switch with it.
