Removed A/C a long time ago - fuse box under the hood?

I just noticed the fuse box next the the brake master cylinder is full of fuses for the A/C. Since I have no A/C what would be involved with removing that fuse box?

Well, you would have to remove the fuse box and the bracket, and then remove a bunch of wires, or just cut them off. But, I would be afraid that something you need could be in there. After looking at it, seems like without a/c you wouldn't need it at all. Just cut it out.

The relay box has two wire harness pluggeg into the bottom of it. Thats as far as I went. I removed it to gain a little more axcess to the brake master cylinder. There were two bundels that ran back into the inner fender and I did not chase them any farther.

Man good luck it looks like it runs into a normal DSM rats nest.

Yeah I'm afraid to just start cutting wires. That always gets me in trouble, especially on this car. Anyone actually removed this fuse box without something bad happening?

I removed mine and followed all of the wires back to where they meet a large bundle of wires on the fire wall and cut them all and put electrical tape around them. The car ran exactly the same as before with no ill effects from this mod for over a year.

I took out the relay box but I only went as far as unplugging it from the harness and tucking the harness away. No ill effects whatsoever! Easy 5 minute job.

i'd advice against cutting any wires... these dsms have funky wiring. by buddy had a short in his ash tray light and his brake lights never turned off.

I would go back as far as you can with just unplugging the wires and tucking them away, once you start cutting away its hard to put back together, and a bunch of electrical tape never looks like a nice clean job.
