Remote Start..

On my DD I had a astra 1000rs remote starter installed, got it as a gift. Now in the first week of having this thing it has left me unable to start my car 3 times so far. Each is the same remote doesn't work, use the key in the ignition and it doesn't even attempt to crank, just dead. First time it happened after about 2 minutes of dicking with it I got it to start with the remote. Second time it left me stranded I eventually got it to work, don't know how, after being stuck for an hour in a parking lot I got it to again start with the remote. Now my car sits in a lowes parking lot by my place. Instruction manual is useless, went through it backwards and forwards trying everything, nothing works. The bi*** of it is that the place that installed it isn't open until Monday. Any ideas?

is it killing your battery? is it a bad relay?

just disconected the battery and wait to monday.

Try pulling the connections to the unit. The wires going to it are just that, wires. If the unit is causing a problem then pulling the harness off of it should help. The only problem with that is if they had to bypass a security system, if that is the case then that is probably what is causing the problem. Try pulling the battery cable to reset everything and see where you go from there.
