Ok I took another pic without a flash...but of course no flash = blurry picture. But you get the idea... also a comparison pic if you think it still looks orange :)

I really like how those look, but is there a way to make it nice and glossy? If so, what is it?

Thanks, Phya

I used to have redded out lights. I found the testors transparent red gave me the best, glossiest, brightest red out of the three i tried. The testors stuff looked like a brand new oem taillight. Every other one made them look darker. I don't have any pics of the testor paint but here is some of the stained glass paint i bought at micheals. I liked it at first but a pristine set of stock lights look better imo. Plus they don't scratch like the paint did. Here is a poor quality pic of the stained glass paint

Here they are now, stock and looking better IMO

looks good man! i kinda did the same thing. i cut out 4 rectangles, and put 2 on each tail light. then painted over them with black. i also did the center peice. but before i did the center i shaved off talon.

Looking good guys, mine is still holding up to the weather. It's been through summer, and some cold/rainy days and still looks the same.

Is it possible to remove the "smoked tails" paint off? If so how do you do it?
Ryan

Most likely depends on how it was done. The VHT Nite Shades I hear is almost impossible to get back to normal.

yea I was thining I would have to sand it, maybe paint thinner, aircraft remover?

PS I have 1990 talon blacked out tails if anyone wants to trade for stock ones.

Ryan

Just updating this thread a lil since I can't find the other one I posted in

Anyway, it's been quite a few months now, through wind/rain/snow/ice/salt and they look absolutely flawless still.

Looks great guys. Now will people start painting their talon lights and stop converting their talon into a talipse already?? geeze. :thumbdown

I might be weired but I really like the amber on the Talon tails. But I might try this to see if it grows on me.

I actually like it better when the center is matched with the car color or at least close (like mine)....and have the talon letters black.

Not too great of a shot but you get the idea.

I too am sick of people ruining the perfect back end of a talon to get a eclipse backend for altezzas and body kits..I think the talon back end looks better than the eclipse, but the eclipse 2gb front end looks better than both talon front ends.

a few pics of my tails.. never had a fuss from police with these... changing to an eclipse turbo wing soon too. wings gotta go :)

I guess im the only one that doesnt like it. It looks good on 1g's and on w1kk3d's car. But not on a black 2g, It makes the lights look big and stand out too much IMO

trust me, your not the only one. i like them better with the orange and i know a few other people who would agree with that
