yeah, gotta find time to be able to weld up those holes or it wouldve already been done

theyre not shaved, just took water and a green abrasive pad to the letters and got the black off. theyre still raised but you cant tell unless you get close

ooooh loooks like i have a small project tomorrow LOL. nice job and please remove the highrise wing..be proud we have talons LOL!!!ROFL :talon:

thanks, im proud i own a talon BUT i dont like the toe nail and will be removing soon, the eclipse spoiler (I think personally) goes better with the lines of the car:thumb:

just make sure you concentrate on just the letters specifically so you dont scratch up the tails. i ended up taking some polish to the letters to get the scratches off the letters so they dont look dull

Nice job, your car looks really sharp with those wheels too. I think removing the lettering gives it a really nice touch.

This is semi off topic. I saw once a guy open up the tail lights and add a colored tint to make it all red, seemingly removing the yellow section. It looked pretty slick. I probably should have started a new thread, sorry.

nice job man! if i still had my talon rear end I'd give that a shot, it looks great! I shaved the letters off my new eclipse tails though and unfortunately now I have faded looking circles around where the letters used to be from my green pad I used. Anyone have any ideas of what I could use to fill the tiny scratches to make them look perfectly smooth again??

i used some headlight polish i had layin around and it worked great
and as far as the red tint on the amber section, i prefer to keep it amber and close to oem:sneaky:

Use Scratch-X, or something similar, to fix the scratched up tails. (and whatever else)

just use some paint thinner, the kind you use to paint cars with, not the cheapy crap. worked great for me

you inspired me so i did it this morning.. took me 15 min much much better.. thanks for the tip...

can anybody whos done this look real close and tell me if behind the letter still has the triangulated reflective shaping on the inside? I iwas thinking about smoothing off the letters but i need to know if the inside is the same as the rest of the light or if its smooth behind the letters
