RED STOCK SEATS IN 1g Lasers???

all right here's the story, today i was sitting in class going over 4wd and awd transmissions, and we just happened to watch a video on lasers/stealth/and something i forgot that was also awd. In the video they showed a STOCKED white 1g laser and to what my surpise was red stock seats. it looked jus like the regular grey and black seats BUT red. it looked nice as hell, and from most DSM's i have seen i have never see any type of stock laser with stock red seats. i dont know if it's common or rare...so anyone can you guys answer my question. Have you guys seen any? and...where can i get a set?haha...maybe

To my knowledge our seats never came in red. They make a fabric paint, which is likely what they used to make the seats red. Personally I don't like the stock 1g seats so I say ditch them and get some aftermarket. I just bought a Corbeau and I love it and it was only $250.

They came in the lasers for sure, dont know about talons but were never available in the eclipse. I personally think they are fugly.

I dunno, I seem to think our seats are quite comfortable. Maybe there are different seats but my checkered Black Eclipse seats are damn comfortable.

On topic, I have seen the red seats. I've seem them in both Talons and Lasers. They also came with the full red (maroon) interior. I can't say for sure if I like it or not because I've never owned one like it.

My old GST had the maroon red seats/carpet/trim/headliner. It looked pretty good with the black exterior. As far as being swapped from another car I am unsure as it was in the car when I purchased it.

yeah i like my seats too.mm,leather,to add a Little on it i like my seating position on the 1g way more then the 2g,but thats just me.I would like to see a maroon interior with a black dash,I'm curious as to what it would look like.

They made a red interior for sure .. my friend had it in his 93 awd talon until he dyed it all black. Boy its hideous though. The only thing i can compare it to is Ford's strawberry duesche red interior they put inside the t-birds and fox body mustangs and stuff. Eww

I hope thats not the same red interior you're talking about cause its not too appealing in real life.

i had a full dark red/maron cloth interior in my first dsm, a 93 talon tsi awd. carpet, seats, interior panles, all red with little pin striping in the cloth. problem was it was a 10 year old car, and the years of fading from sunlight made the seats and panels look kinda pink, which didnt really look good.

Ill try to dig up a picture of my old interior. Mine was a pretty dark maroon color when I got the car, so if someone elses looked pinkish, guess mine just didn't get faded bad. Actually the maroon seats and carpet are now in my 93 DL since I got rid of the eclipse, Ill just snap a picture of that when I get a chance for anyone who has never seen them.

Yeah I dont mind the 1g seats much. They are a little too soft for me, im hoping to get aftermarket soon. I sat in my friends 2g and it was...different.

I never understood why people didn't like 1g seats until I bought my 2g. Now I can't stand sitting in the 1g seats anymore.

I disagree 100%, IMHO, the DSM 1G seats are some of the nicest out their. Especialy the black leather ones-here's mine:

Also...IMHO...the 1G's look more like racing seats, the ones in 2g's look like 4dr sedan seats.

ohh,not what i had in mind on the red interior .I like the 1g seats their cool.But my 2g seats did feel like i was holstered in the seat more,although as i previously stated,the 1g seating position is way better IMHO.

I too, (like 91 Tsi FWD) have the red/maroon cloth seats with the black dash. I have been told that I have one of the nicest interiors around, as this is a rare combo, and I think it's badass too! But, if everybody liked the same stuff, DAMN WE'D BE BORING!!!!!

1g seats are for those of us who are normal size. My 2g seats are huge! And I am 5'11" 200lbs.

My friend has a 92 Laser(turbo/awd) with the gold rims and pinstripe, the interior cloth/carpet is all a maroon/blood red color. It isnt a very common interior color in 1g but I have seen it a few times.

1g seats are for those of us who are normal size. My 2g seats are huge! And I am 5'11" 200lbs.

I guess it all depends on the condition of your seats, for example when my brother got his 90 gsx, I thought his chekered/black seats were awful, and so as my 95 rs stock blue seats, BUT then i got my 92 TSi AWD and its black leather seats were so nice and comfy, then i got on a friends 98 gsx and his tan leather seats were VERy nice also... So It might depend on how well they were taken care of in the past, or maybe its just the leather...
