2g seats in 1g

Hey guys , ive searched and looked in the faq, but cant seem to find an answer. Do 2g seats bolt right in a 1g? i need new seats and i can get a pair of 2g for free. thanks!

I recently put sparcos in my 2g. My friend was dieing to use my stock leather seats in his 1g so i gave them to him. After a few months of planning and modding, he gave them back saying that he could not find any way for them to fit. Im sure they could be used but not easily.

Like my98gsx said they do not bolt right into a 1g. You have to weld new seat consoles.

Imo the 2g seats aren't the best. As soon as I have the money I'll throw them out of my car.

You'd be better off getting REAL racing seats. Remember if you get in a wreck with cheap racing seats or harnesses (even if they aren't install properly). You are more than likely going to either A: break your back or B: die.

If you do decide to put 2g seats in your 1g you better have perfect welds and amazing fabrication skills as well as a flawless understanding of how seats and harnesses are supposed to PROPERLY hold you in the seat when you crash.

I'm just posting this because I'd much rather see you in a DSM than a blinged out wheel chair.
