im new to dsmtuners and im wondering whats a good recommended exhaust? i drive a 99 gst. 3in or 2.5? noise levels do not matter.

Apex N1 is not a full 3". It is more like 2.8" with a supposed design that has a short route with minimal bend angles. Also it is not stainless steel which is a no no especially at over $500. For the money the megan racing N1 style is the best value. It is a full 3" stainless steel catback and availble on ebay for $380 shipped.

Personally I am in the middle of a project and I am going with the megan racing catback and having a custom 3" turbo to catback ss downpipe made. This would be a good setup for you because the downpipe section is really where the emission standards need to be followed and having it custom made will allow you to adhere to the standards while creating a performance down pipe for about $300.

hey i am getting a 3 in cat back exhaust done custom from a shop in my town and i want to know if i should go with a muffler at all or just go straight pipes? any good suggestions? i want it to look good , not just add Hp

There is alot of controversy over whether or not there is a real performance difference or not.

No, there's not.

Or, at least, there shouldn't be.

But atleast look into it enough so that you can make an informed decision.

Can't argue with you there.
