I was just wondering how hard it would be to convert my 1999 GST into an AWD GSX or if its even possible. What all do I need to swap and how hard is it?

Sometimes its cheaper to do an AWD SWAP as you can find FWD turbo cheap. Also, wow this thread is showing some grey hairs haha. Funny how easy it is to do the swap, and how much information there is speaking of this topic around these days.

Is the TSI AWD? Also, what year is it?

95 TSI AWD. I looked at the car the driver side strut tower was too far gone for my liking. I am going to look at a roller tomorrow that's supposed to be rust free , however its an auto and I like my 5 speed so it will be an interesting swap. Im thinking I take my cars guts and move them over. the auto tranny im not too hot about and the console but it will be done.
