What is the benefit for recirculating the turbo dump in O2 housing? Is it better to recirculate or have an external dump?

Being from Ohio emissions mean nothing to me im just trying to learn what the best set up to run is

I haven't personally tested this, but if you're down pipe is small to where it's on the edge of restricting your power level by holding back exhaust flow, i have seen on miata forums and some other car where people actually made a notable change in power either switching to atmosphere or going from atmosphere to re-route and losing power.. but if the DP is bi enough to flow both routes of exhaust un-restrcted i doubt there's a difference you can feel. The only one i saw that made me think there's a real benefit is one miata that was highly built gained almost 40hp with atmospheric dump (well, he lost 37 by re-routing it, and gained it back by going open again) but this was on close to a 500hp car that had a 2.5'' DP, and cat back too

take it for what it is, ilove my open dump, but there's times i wish it was re-routed
