I have an eclipse gsx automatic, but because it's an auto I dont get the 60 times that the manuels do. I decided to focus on the top end. I will get some thing like a 3.0 60', so i will need to make it up in the long end of the track. Now I dont want to be digging into the block just yet, so I guess i am lookin for 400-450 at the crank/300-350 at the wheels. I know some people are getting this much power out of the 16g, but Ive noticed there dyno charts look like shit. Just a big lump in the middle, so i think i want a bigger turbo that flows a bit better in the upper rpm. From the turbo to injectors feel free to give your recipe to high traps.

I know I know, soon as I get my new job i will be all over supporting mods, now i am short on cash though. Few more weeks hopefully.

any way check out this write up on the 3052 at the bottom of the page, he says he gets positive boost by 3k and gets full boost by 3500. MMMMMM big boost with no lag...makes me horny, LOL. The only shitty part is a few weeks into it he spun the main, LOL, thats one badass turbo.

Oh yeah I know that turbo will make silly power, have fun with it. Modifying the 02housing and the downpipe doesnt sound like fun though (page 2 on that write up)

I still vote for the 50 or 56 trim on our 91 octane gas.

What are you talking about having a 20G spool up is out of the question? You have little experience in this catagory so try asking the people that own one first.

A Ball-Bearing turbo that "can see positive boost by 3K"? I sure as hell hope so.

Those 2 turbos are really nice don't get me wrong.

at your mercy oh wise 20g owner. Please fill me in on when you reach 20lbs or show a dyno that put rest to my doubts of the 20g.

A good friend of mine has a 20G and sees 19psi at 3800rpms, thats good to me.

Dyno'd 366whp although I don't know if that was pump or at what psi.

Sure

I reach 5 psi 2.3k, 10psi 3k, and get a full 20psi by 3.7-3.9 it is hard to determine the exact because when it hits, it hits. It starts really pulling on the street anywhere between 3k-3.5k and just keeps going. :) Just remember that my "Inferior Spooling Turbo" is non-ballbearing.

My graphs are not a good way to see the power hit. My tranny is on its last leg and while on the dyno I had to ask the guy to shift higher than normal. Thus letting the power fall before actually stomping on it. The other dyno (286whp at 18psi) was on a totally untuned (butt tuned) setup. Right after I finished the install of everything in my list, I took it straight to the dyno. Only tuning the fuel while giving it gas on the highway in 3rd gear.

Also, at the bottom of my post above I said they are both really nice turbos.

then how come your not makin any power til 4.5k?

My wording was off.

He had to shift higher and then let it fall back down before he stomped on it. That is why the power band has a lull in it. It makes almost peak power at 4.5k and it was still rich. On my untuned 286 graph you can see the 20g making peak t25power by 3.9rpms. It makes the stock peak power around the same time as stock does and just keeps going.

Mehh, hard to type what I am trying to say on the internet.

Your turbo choices are both great. I myself would like to get a BB turbo in the future.
