I just rebuilt my 4g63, it starts white smoke comes out of the exhaust, which may be caused from putting gear oil in the cylinders to create a seal between the piston rings and wall. However the issue I have is every time I shift I have to either shift really fast not letting the RPMs drop cause if I shift normally I have to go all the way back down to about 1000 RPMs then back up and that's in every gear. What would cause that? But if I shift fast enough its super fast. Second, it seems like it floods itself. What would cause that? I used a Nippon Racing rebuild master kit. I have heard that some new rebuilt motors may smoke, due to burning residue oils. Third, when I go over 7000 RPMs it cuts out, shuts off and won't start for a while again. What would cause this? I am new to the 4g63. I had a 97 talon ESi which has a 420A. I now own a 95 awd TSi. And its seems everything is backwards. So any help info and suggestions would be so greatly appreciated!!!!
