Ok Im goin to I guess call it halfass rebuild my motor. Rings are fine I just wanna pull motor remove BSs and since Im doing that replace rods and main bearings. If the crank just needs a polish I can use standard bearings right? Im sure all that is fince but I rather be safe and replace it while its out of the car. I dont wanna just do a BSE and rise spinning a bearing a few weeks later.

if you are buying all that, it wont be more than a few more bucks to re-ring and hone it back out real quick. its kinda lazy to do the hard work and skip the easy stuff.. why not?

^^^^^^ I will agree with the above.... if your that far in, you may as well hone the block and put some rings in it.

I agree but Imnot sure whats goint to happen yet. I might come across a 6 bolt here soon and start a swap. I also didnt plan on pulling head off but I might to do everything right since I have time to work on it.
