I am tearing apart a 4g63t 6 bolt to do a (hopefully) mild rebuild to. Basically I am planning on doing the bottom end bearings, rings, and gaskets. I know that i should use OEM rings and gaskets, but what about the bottom end bearings, is there something better out there or should i go with OEM on these as well? also, is there somewhere on-line that i can buy all of these OEM parts, or is the dealer my only option?

Go OEM. If you go with some other cut-rate place for bearings, the quality control isn't as high when it comes to making sure you have the right size bearings in the box. If you don't want to go to the dealership, then check out www.jnztuning.com . They have a very large inventory of oem parts.

Clevite bearings are used alot for rebuilds. also if you plan on building up your car that this motor is going to be in I'd say do some of the smaller upgrades that have to do with taking engine apart. If you are going to go with a bigger turbo soon (more boost), ect. then I'd say get a metal head gasket. Also for piston rings, Im lookin to get a set of Total Seal rings. Im pretty sure the site is www.totalseal.com if not you could do a search online for them. they are suppose to only have about 2% leakage of air by the rings. stock is about 12-15%.
