Shouldn't effect performance at all, it just tells your PCM if your cat is working or not.

Bill Hahn has confirmed that the rear o2 will affect the ECU's timing maps. Yes the rear o2 will affect performance.

I know on the TSIs it doesnt really matter. If you do disconnect it, it will throw on a CEL, but doesnt affect performance. I dont know on the N/Ts. How many o2 sensors do the N/Ts have?

I think the question was geared towards N/T. The N/T has 2 sensors just like the 4g63.

IF would like to find proof call and talk to Bill Hahn, dont talk to his sales staff they are less informed. The rear o2 was a discussion some of the 2gnt'ers and bill had at the 04 SO.

Cool thanks. I guess I have to think if it's worth the $70 for the O2 sensor for some mild performance regained and a couple miles to the gallon back. Probably is. Thanks for everyones advice.
