does a 95 gs have a rear o2 sensor? my buddy got an eclipse that he rewired and he told me there is no o2 sensor plug coming off the harness? i thought he should have one can anyone verify this? thanks

Tell him its under the carpet by the center tunnel.

Yes they did have a rear O2. Often times they are unplugged from where they plug in to the harness inside the car. It is possible that it has been pushed around under the carpet to somewhere else.

If not, then he has a "re-attachment" of the old harness to make.

yeah i told him it should be under the seat but he did a trans swap and he said there wasnt a wire for the o2 so im not sure what happend. but thanks for the reply. with out the rear o2 would that effect how the car runs?

Yep, what he said.

You'll have to dig around to find the harness though, it's much easier if you remove the drivers seat and pull up that side of the carpet.

Edit: Without the rear O2 mine had a jumpy idle and random misfires, so expect something similar.

That's why I said by the tunnel. I've run across this a few times with people looking for the rear O2 connector and oddly enough, each time it was pushed over near the tunnel, LOL.

As for affecting the car; it would not affect it any. It basically tests to see if the cat is working properly. It doesn't adjust fueling or anything of the like. If it seemed to change an idle, I would say that was just coincidence.
