I'm converting my 97 GS with a LS swap, I got a AWD rear diff from a 2g GSX. Is there splined hubs I can use on the original GS rear knuckles that will link up with the GSX diff

Not on the rear, you will need awd rear knuckles to accept the bigger bearing. fwd are just to small of a bearing. Thats the only way to proceed

Yup what Bobby said. Fwd rear knuckles are smaller than the awd knuckles. Getting awd knuckles and wheel bearings would be the simply way to proceed.

Depending on your year of gs you may need to track down bolts for the wheel bearing. All awd rear knuckles are the same however the 2ga and 2gb fwd knuckles vary slightly.

Yea i seen that the front and back hubs were different but i was just wondering if someone found some hubs that fit the orginal knuckles for the gs, i seen some on ebay that match pretty close in diameter, bolt pattern, and everything but they are for some other make and model, just didnt know ty

Fwd and awd rear knuckles and hubs are different. You CANNOT make any awd rear axle system fit a fwd rear knuckle its impossible! Grab an awd rear knuckle as i said and a bearing that suits and you will be on the way to getting this resolved alot faster

Ight ill use it, so does the rear knuckle have to be off a 95-99 gsx or is there other models that have the same rear knuckles

97-99 are deeper so opt for those ones. Only model thats awd in the USA that use these i know of so has to be from a 2G DSM

I wonder how much torque a DSM rear diff can handle? I have a hard time with the idea they will hold together in a RWD setup.

People have gone with 3000GT rear diffs in 4G63 powered AWD cars to reduce breakage.

Don't most RWD builds use some Ford or GM rear axle?
