Apparently so. Man, I was probably one of the first folks out there trying to solve this problem. I couldn't get the aftermarket behind me then. I bought dv/dt fab bushings. I also had a custom set made out of some softer material. The noise is just UNBEARABLE. So...my set should be here this week. I'll have them installed next week. I'll give a review when I'm through.

Let me know, ill order a set as soon asyou let me know if it gets rid of that noise.

I have them. Very nice. Like the design. My wrench and I think these will be slightly easier to install. Package showed up from UMS directly. There are NO instructions what so ever. Just a box, and 6 pieces. 6? Yes, 6. 3 bushings, and three "sleeves" that the bushings fit into. Our guess is that you bang in the outer ring, then push the new bushing part into the middle. Thus, if the bushing ever wears out...you just push out the middle and install another.

Pretty cool. My boy will be doing this for me next week while I'm out of town on vacation (along with about $1500 worth of other things). I'll report back our experiences as soon as I have the car back.

Here is a pic of what I was refering to above:

So the long awaited followup:

I had the bushings installed shortly after the last post above. Mechanic tells me that they were CONSIDERABLY easier to install than the last two sets. It still takes quite some time to do.

Moving on to the driving experience. Well these bushings definetly tightend up the rear end! I would say sound was decreased around 50% over my custom solid urthane bushings I had in the car beforehand. There is still noise coming from the rear but at least I can talk to people inside the car now with only a slight yell. :coy:

Honestly, if you diff bushings are toast, go ahead and pull the trigger on a set of these.

My next question is if my actual diff is worn out internally. I have the lsd and I think its age is truly showing through.

I bought & installed the UMS bushings as well, though I won't be giveing them a test drive till atleast May. They are nice bushings but are very basic. Just a couple machined sleeves, some ES urthane bushings & a center sleeve (which isn't even SS or treated for corrosion). Must say when I received them & checked them out, I felt ripped off. They are defently making a good profit on these, they could probably sell them for half the price & still be making a descent profit.
