Calgary,
Hey guys,
I had to replace my oil pump, so after taking everything apart, i got to the rear balance shaft.
We pulled it out and found this, and a piece of metal at the bottom of the oil pan.
Smaller end of the balance shaft. This is the part that goes into the actual casing of the pump.
Middle part of the shaft, the brightest part is where its supposed to catch on the bearing.
Now i belive that the piece of metal was the bearing, and that the shaft has been turning at some random angle and thas what made my pump go bad.
The inside of the pump has major wear where the smaller propeller sits. i will post pictures of the block and the case sometime.
I wanted to know what you guys thought i should do.
Im looking at balace shaft eliminator kits.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks
