2G Rear balance shaft play normal?

4g63t 7bolt 95 gsx

im getting a knocking sound, so i pulled the pan and i can move the balance shaft up and down at the rear bearing is this normal or is it not suppose to move at all? thanks

That's bad, don't run the engine until that's fixed.
