Took my car to get a aleignment and they did the front fine since I had the upper control arm kit. But the rear they said I need to get new tow arm and cam bolts. The car is lowered I believe 1.5 but not sure. I have koni shocks and tokico springs for the rear.

Will the stm bolt and washer method fix the aleignment? Or is there more adjustments besides the washer method? Do they still adjust tow after using the washers?

Well simce you need a new toe arm anyway they will have to re set that so it wont matter, if you change the camber your toe will change, you cannot get away from not re adjusting toe with the washers in! But as i said, your doing a toe arm anyway so just get it all done at the same time

I can visually see the camber is off. But the washer method fixes that which was fixed before i put new wheels on but since then it looks off. Not sure why. But anyway what do you guys recommend for aftermarket toe arms. If the oem ones have a habit of seized then i should upgrade. I know Paul makes them.

Ec17pse thanks for helping me in most of my threads.

Pauls are good and wont seize easy, thats a good choice.

So you put the washer on after and its not off? Or am i thinking you swapped wheels and thats making you think its off?

And no worries, I try to help when I can and if I see your threads, we are all here to help all

When I had a shop years ago swap suspension from on car to another I have them the STM camber kit for the rear. So I'm confused on why the rear is out of aleignment.

I guess swapping the wheels is what made me notice the the difference. I can see the wheel leans in. But that don't make sense if I gave them the STM kit. I can see the wheel is leaning so why would he say the toe needed fix not camber? And would a shop know to adjust camber with the washers?

+1 on Paul Volk rear trailing arms. I would ensure you get about 3-4 sawzall blades (longer) to cut out the rear arms.

What happened is that the toe arms get sized up and can't adjust them so you will need to cut them like the picture above.

swapping the wheels wont change the camber persay but some wheels will show more then others i guess. if he said the toe needs fixing then he cannot adjust camber to toe to as you adjust camber the toe moves! if you cannot set toe you move camber to where toe sits in neutral so thats most likely why he is saying for the toe arm to then use the camber washers and then he can adjust toe to suit the right specs
