ok well my fwd got totaled so i pulled the motor so i could put it into my awd. I went to go put on a new timing belt before i put the motor in, and this is where i got confused. I turned the motor so all the timing marks lined up before I took off the old timing belt and the dowels on the cams pointed down and the white lines on the cam gears were not lined up. One was pointing towards the cam gear and the other was pointing away. So i then turned the cams and point the dowels up and lind up the marks and put everything back together. I tried to start the car and it just fired and then finally i got it to start but i did let it run for more then 5 seconds and shut it off. After I tried starting it again and nothing the car just would not start. So at this point i am not sure what to do. Help me out if you can, Thanks

What year is the motor? Might wanna look at these if you haven't yet:

Assuming all that is fine...

Double check the timing first:

After that, it could be anything since you swapped motors. Start with basic stuff; all sensors connected properly, fuel pressure, adjust base timing, BISS, TPS, IPS, etc.

process of elimination ;)

Its a 92 motor, everything from the other motor as far as electronics, TB and all that stuff. Only thing that is diffrent is the long block.
