bought the pte BB 50 trim a couple weeks ago after having the evo 3. I finally got the car on the dyno and tuned it today and was very disappointed and somewhat confused. on my evo 3 my numbers were 243 HP and 250 FT. LBS. at 16 PSI....now i throw the 50 trim on and the numbers are 247 HP and 243 FT. LBS. at 21 PSI??????????
there are no boost leaks anywhere at all, the 21 psi holds all the way til we let off. is there something im missing?

supporting mods are:

255 LPH
750 cc's
3" N1 catback
greddy FMIC
Greddy typs S BOV
Greddy Boost controller
Cenetic Head Gasket
act 2100
and tuning with dsmlink

are you stumped yet? cause me and my tuner sure are.

please help

Well a DSMlink log of the run will certainly help. I would suggest posting it on the link forums as well, many knowledgeable members with experience using DSMlink.

Thats crazy, I would be pist if thats all I put down. I think my brothers car with an evo turbo put down a little over 300 whp with the same mods as u, other than 550's and greddy emanage.

The only thing I can think of is, are you running the 255 pump without an FPR. That would cause you to run rich and kill your power. Are you tuning with a wideband? If not you might thing your fuel trims are on when they aren't. Other than that just make sure you double check maintenance things like spark plugs, fuel filter, boost leaks etc.

The regulator only matters at idle, under load the motor is taking in enough fuel that the FPR isn't being overrun. It's in the tuning, always is.

yes the dyno was run with a wideband o2. its running 11.8 : 1 thru the whole rpm band. there are no boost leaks thats why im confused. the only thing i can think of is that the intake side of the turbo is 3" and the intake pipe is 2 1/4. im using a reducer coupler to fit it but in thinkin about cuttin the intake pipe and gettin a 45 degree angle 3" to 3" coupler from SBR. I dont think it will make that much of a difference but at this point anything is a possibility. any wisemen have any ideas?

You don't still have the stock downpipe do you?

also do you have the upgraded water lines or are you using the stock ones? does the turbo have a whining sound to it? have you checked for exhaust leaks?

I have a 3" down pipe. yes I have the stock water lines. and now that i think of it yes....It does have a slight whining noise.

So are you going to post a DSMlink log or not? Everyone is just throwing out random ideas that mean absolutely nothing. Not getting enough water to the CHRA will make it noisy but I doubt it would hurt airflow. Post a log so you can get some real help.

any progress with the log? i am very interested in this thread since i have the same turbo awaiting install shortly..

alright guys i got a new laptop today and made a log about 15 mins ago on my way to work. cant export and upload til later tonight because im at work now, but check back later tonight and ill try to have one up by then. thanks

alright a made a new log since the one from yesterday didnt save. im not sure which program to export it to and how to do it the right so ill try a couple different ways. if it does not work....someone please explain exactly how to do it the right way.
thanks

Anyone out there still interested in the log? Common guys take a look and let me know what you think is the problem is please. This makes no sense to me.

I see some knock and alot of timing being pulled but I am just an ameteur at reading logs. Do you have an account on the DSMlink Forums? If so just post your log there and let the experts figure out your problem.
