i'm not getting much pressure in my clutch. it wouldn't engage completely and would grind when putting in gears 1, 2 and 3. today we tried bleeding the lines and i took it for a test drive. the problem seemed to have disappeared, but very soon during the drive i noticed it starting to grind more and more and eventually went right back to where it was with a light clutch.

at first i thought it was a syncro problem, but after bleeding it seemed more evident that it was a clutch issue. i thought i could have a leak in my line, but still do have some pressure, and i'm not seeing any fluid leaks anywhere. the clutch, pressure plate, master and slave cylinders were all replaced last summer. is it possible that the clutch or pressure plate might have been installed wrong and need to be adjusted?

thanks in advance

It may also be your Clutch Fork. The swivel ball that it floats on can get worn, or the end that connects to your thowout bearing could be worn also. You may also want to check your Master cylinder on your clutch. They tend to leak with no signs unless you look under the dash above the brake petal.

i'm not seeing any leaking under the dash. i want to take it to a shop so they can figure out whats wrong but i know they're gonna give me some bullshit about needing a new clutch or something equally as ignorant

i had the clutch/pressure plate replaced at a trans shop by my house, and this was what happened when i picked it up. they said the problem was my syncro's but everybody else i asked seems to think clutch/pressure plate.

I bet your slave cylinder is leaking. It sounds like a hydrolic problem and not a clutch problem. Remove the boot from the slave and see if there is any fluid there. If bleeding the system helped for a short time and them the problem returned then it is in your hydrolic system somewhere. My bet is slave cylinder.
