Ok i thought i had a 14b, but i just rode in a friends car with a 16g,afc,logger, FMIC, fuel, sbr manifold, ported 2g o2 housing,2g maf, act2100, and a 3inch exauhst at 20 psi, we made a run and he had maybe 2-3 counts of knock at like 4800-5300 rpms, but other than that his logs looked good(ok maybe slightly rich) and he had good timing(oh yeah he has all the fuel upgrades too) what i dont understand is his car didn't feel that much faster than mine(he has a big 16g) and i have a bad clutch. I was planning on looking at the compressor blades on my tubo to see if the blades are all the same hieght(b style compressor) or if the blades are like that of the g style compressor. i got the car from a guy who used to drive hondas (he put a freakin hks ssqv on a stock mas car) so i was wondering since he was the second owner(im the third) could it have a 16g variant on it already? cause seriously if thats all the big 16g has then imma skip that and go straight to a 20g/50trim cause i want more power and that kick the pants feel when i hit boost. as a side note i always wondered why my turbo spool later than my other friends dsm with the stock turbo( nothings ported as i can tell as i had the o2 housing off and one point) anyways let me know what you guys think.

Please be considerate and use proper grammar and maybe some paragraphs in your posts. Reading that gave me a mild headache.

To answer your question, two cars with nearly identical setups will feel different based on the tune, boost level and health of the motor. All of these will play a role in which one feels faster from the seat of the pants.

16G variants have twin bladed compressor wheels. Pull off your intake pipe and look at the wheel. If it doesn't have stepped twin blades it's not a 16G. If it does, use the following numbers to figure out which 16G variant you have:

49178-01520: Small
49178-01420: Big
49178-01470: EVO III

Let us know what you find,

Andy
