Alright, now that I have the smoke problem figured out, I would like to move onto what I've been waiting to do.
Since I have absolutely nothing done to the car, I'm looking for a suggested list of mods from here.
I would like to do many things from this point.

-New BOV and MAFT
-Intake
-Brakes
-Exhaust
-Short Throw Shifter
-Some interior and exterior mods
-Front Mount Intercooler
-Etc...

I don't want to jump at the wrong mods first, and with most things you need to mod something before you can mod something else.
So with my "idea list", can anyone give me some suggestions from here?

I would suggest gettin a full exhaust before gettin the fmic. At this moment with no mods the front mount isnt going to do much for you whereas the exhaust will...plus prettymuch no matter what you plan on doing in the end..youre gonna need a full exhaust for it.

If you're looking for an order of what you listed:

-exhaust
-Intake
-BOV (no need for a MAFT just yet)
-breaks (stopping is nice sometimes)
-shifter
-whatever "looks" you're going for

No need for a front mount yet. And you should probably squeez a Manual Boost controller between the intake and BOV. That's just my thoughts on what you'll feel/appreciate the most as you progress.

that mess of pipes is the "header." it's the exhaust manifold. And yes, there is no point in replacing your exhaust manifold yet. "headers" are more traditionally the term for the exhaust pipes that gather into a colectore on N/A cars, not turbos.

tubular manifold is what the mess is. I dont think you need that...that would really be jumping the gun. I would just keep the manifold you have (not really a header) port it and the 02 housing and do a full turbo back exhaust...do it all at once, take care of the whole exhaust system for years into your future upgrades

The"mess of pipes" is a tubular exhaust manifold. For your exhaust if you really want to do it up right get an evo3 exhaust mani. extrude hone it, port the o2 housing, get a 2.5" turbo back exhaust with a cat delete or a high flow cat to get the most out of it. Get a hard air intake pipe with a filter. Extrude hone the stocker intake manifold. The 2G MAF will be fine, you wont outflow it for a while. Get an aftermarket boost guage, and an MBC. Get a 1G BOV as they are the cheapest, and they can handle 20-22psi before leaking unlike the 15psi of the 2G BOVs. Do a street FMIC with hard U&LICP, and a J-Pipe so the LICP stays pretty much out of sight. After that I would do a logger like SAFC-II or DSMLink, I recommend the link. Then get a wally 190, 550cc injectors, a MHI Evo 3 16G, and port the hot side of the turbo. Do a set of NGK 7s, with a set of magnecore 8.5mm wires.

Hope that helps a little

Dustin

True, true.
Now is there a significant difference in what I'm going for that would make me want to go with a 2.5" or a 3"?

AsILayDying: Why injectors? He's got nothing to tune with... a pump is a good call though, though there's no need for it until he's got the boost turned up. We run rich as it is.

Oh wow, well that helps a lot fourreGsixty3, heh.
Um, just ignore my last post, it was right before all backend of the forum went down.
Alright, so 2.5" turboback with either a performance Cat or a bypass.
Now I have seen a few different things, including pipes that go from the manifold to exhaust and just bypass the cat all together, but they're designed for racing.
So with exhaust is just a matter of preference, brands to stay away from?
What I'm ultimately trying to avoid is some obnoxious zip-tie sound, hah.
