The head checked out okay and I've got everything else done. Just waiting on some exhaust mani studs.

Anyway, on to the point:

I plan to put the head back on the car tonight, any tips? OEM head gasket with ARP studs. I am using the lube that came with the studs (careful where you say that phrase).

I've got the right sequence (as in which bolts to start with) but what are the TQ stages? I can't seem to find that online anywhere.

Also, I plan to pre-spray the HG with the copper stuff unless you guys tell me otherwise.

Anything else I should do while I have the head off?
I've already done the following:

* replaced all coolant/rubber lines and clamps
* new OEM fuel filter
* all new gaskets
* little bit of wire tucking
* new OEM water pump
* new timing components will be going in
* cleaned everything I could reach
* removed some unneeded things
* installed my MAP sensor and IAT for SD
* and several other little things I am surely forgetting.

I want to get everything I can done now, so let me know if I have left out something or if you guys can think of anything else.

This is the torque sequence, start with 1 and go to 10
Their are three stages Torque all to 15ft lb then 40ft lb then 85ft lb for your final

thanks man. I thought I remembered 15 for the first, and the last stage was in the ARP guide, but I could not, for the life of me, remember the middle stage.

Make sure you go to arp specs. I know 2gs use the 11mm studs, so Im not sure if the specs are the same. I install them, torque them down in the stages, then loosing them up a 1/4 turn in sequence again and go back down to the recomended torque for the stud. I would do that 3-4 times, run the car to temp, let it completly cool down then for extra insurance do one more 1/4 turn loosing, and back down to spec.

I didn't quite get as far as I wanted today, so looks like the head will be going on tomorrow if possible. I'll post back if I have any more questions.

Do you care to mention what things were unneeded that you removed?
