I'm reinstalling my evo3 16g after having to replace the cartridge. I need to know what gaskets I can re-use and which ones I'll have to replace. Thanks in advance for your help!
BTW, not sure if it matters, but this is going on a 97 spyder GST

Just to feel better and be safe depending on how long you have used the 16g for i would re do all the gaskets, why not... like the exhaust gaskets, oil return line gaskets....that might be a good idea seeing how those oil return line gaskets are a bit more fragile. just a thought if that helps.

You may only re-use your metal gaskets but, you must check their condition for burning out, some form of warping that would not allow the gasket to properly seal and make sure the surfaces are smooth and there would not be anything that may cause an obstruction or leak on the mating surfaces. If all checks out then, go for it. As for paper gaskets, you must replace these.

You will probably end up replacing them all in the end, autozone sells the whole turbo gasket kit for 25 dollars and they did not sell any particular gasket seperately for me. Better safe than sorry anyways.

That $25 kit sounds great. My exhaust side is ported larger 7cm i beleive? Can I dremel a 6cm to fit or will I have to order that gasket seperately? Thanks for the help guys, I really appreciate it.

Personally, I would change any and all gaskets and anything else that could be replaced at a low price, just so you could rule any of these areas out in case a problem arises.

Think of it as prudent planning.

You are correct on that. BUT, some gaskets are reusable. For instance, the RRE S/S turbo inlet gasket and the S/S turbo to O2 housing gasket. If they are the stock ones and looked warped then, change them.

I agree! When I had my 16g I reused my metal gaskets on the manifold-turbo and turbo-o2 housing and never had a problem. Just make sure they aren't warped. The gaskets I used were the very nice and thick metal ones SBR sells. The only gaskets I would replace are the OEM 'paper-type' gaskets on the oil return pipe; turbo-oil return pipe and return pipe- oil pan.
You might want to look into replacing the copper crush washers onthe oil feed too. I have reused them before without any problems, but I do stock quite a few of the washers, just to have on hand if the other ones look bad. But they are cheap so it is smart to keep a bunch on hand, stock up on those OEM oil return gaskets too, those come in handy too.
