Rattle on shifter in 4th gear

I have a 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS with a 4G64 and a 5 speed. When I bought the car I did a full clutch replacement but left the old flywheel because it looked clean, then the input shaft seal went out and sprayed tranny fluid all over my clutch. I replaced the input shaft seal and the bearings inside the transmission. Now ever since, in 4th gear, my shifter will rattle back and forth to the speed of the car like it wants to pop out of gear but when I put pressure on it, it goes away, but once I let off it comes right back.
Anyone know what this could be? I'm newer to the Eclipse stuff so anything helps. Thanks

Steve summed it up, we focus on 90 -99 cars. All are welcome. Ive been into some transmissions that would be similar. Did you shim any taper bearings when you did bearing replacements?
Dealer software is also available so you can lookup exploded diagrams, part numbers etc. Besides that I would recommend factory service manuals to conduct any repairs. They are much more detailed than generic Haynes manuals etc.
