Whats up guys,
well I am still on the crappy t25 turbo and when ever I race at the track I try to shift at 6000 or a bit earlier because I feel the powerband really drop off. My question is when I get close to the end of the 1/4 mile, I am at 6000 rpms in 3rd gear but their is still a little bit more track left and my car is out of power. My question is, should I shift into 4th gear or should I just leave it in 3rd until the end? Which way would be faster?

I didnt do testing with a T-25, but for me staying in 3rd for as long as I could was the best up to about 105mph. But after that it was better to shift sooner (around 100mph) to get back into the boost and pulling again before the end of the run.

Of course with your setup youll just have to go out and try both ways.

I did it with DSMLink, and was able to change redlines of course to hit 105 in third, but I went from a 102-103 trap to a 105 staying in 3rd.

If you're getting out of 3rd on a t25 then what times are you running? That must be one high trap speed on a stock turbo.

I hit a 15.1 at 95 with a 60 foot of 2.2. It seems like my trap speed is high for a 15.1

You have different gearing then me so maybe that's why you're having to shift into 4th.

Trbotaln- That's not all that high. I hit 92 when I ran my 15.1 with a 60' of 2.3
