My problem has preatty much been an egg hunt and i have ran out of ideas.
My car will start fine when first cold and after a while it will throw a cel or shutter but the cel never stays on constantly just for as long as it wants.
I have replaced my isc motor and got my leaky capacitors in my ecu replaced and fixed boost leaks all of which made it run better but not fix the problem.
As of right now i am out of ideas my alternator seems to be fine so it shouldnt be a loss of power. Any help would be apreciated.

have you had the codes pulled to see what the issue could be? does it act differently if you unplug the mas? one thing also to check is the coolant temp sensor as the car might not be able to tell when it is warmed up and its dumping crazy fuel causing it to run stupid rich to where its stumbling.

pull a plug and see if its coated in black soot

the plugs look fine and i dont have a way of pulling the codes and also another thing my temp sensor gets up to half way and dosnt go past that but the temp my engine puts off in my bay is extreamly hot but im thinking thats just from the turbo

would it be possible to jump a tooth the timeing blt was done at 65xxx an it is a 107xxx now maybe time for a new one but its alot of work to replace if its not the problem

hahaha thats funny you relize i live in montana no auto store here has an obd 1 scan tool for a dsm ive tried them all and the shop that can is booked for a while and i dont have that long.

Ya it kinda sucks owning obd 1 here but thanks for the link i will be on the search for a voltmeter and try it but does the ecu store the codes or does the cel have to be on cause it comes and goes?

does anyone know how to test the coolant temp switch and today while at worked i could drive it but once i shut it off it would not stay started because it was bogging from running to rich i belive... i have a multimeter but not a volt meter to pull the codes

Get a timing light and set your base timing. Once that is set, you should see that go away.

i havnt touched the timeing since i got the car and it is a recent issue so i bought a new crank angle / camshaft syncronizer and will put that on and time it and let you guys know how it goes

all my problems are now fixed and the parts i replaced or repaired were ecu, isc motor, and the crank angle / camshaft syncronizer. I then adjusted the timing to the mark below the 10 maybe a degree more and it pulls like a dream whipers fly on and all i get are smiles from people who ride in it :thumb:
