I ran her a little harder than usuall today, now its hard to keep running till i drive her a little bit..Idles a little eraticly at startup , but driving her a mile or so its ok.What should i check.Oh and it happens everytime.Not jus cold or hot.

Intercooler pipe might of came loose. Do a boost check. And look at all your connections.

If it's only rough for a short period of time after a startup, then things like ICS sould be checked, as well as make sure BISS scre didn't back out (vibrations at higher rpm tend to get it loose faster, if o-ring is old). Other then that, leaking injectors would cause such a condition. After the car is shut off, and fuel pressure is still there, fuel drips from injectors and slowly puddles inside the intake ports. On a startup, it takes a while to gobble through all that extra fuel.
Looks like denso injectors tend to do that more often then others, but old stock ones are very capable of that.
Is there any abnormal smoke at startups? Has compression been checked?

Thanks for the quick reply!Well seems to be getting better. Ill do a compleate check in the morning. I got on it more today than usuall cause i have the worst case of phantom knock you have ever seen, and wanted some damn power.My damn rocker arms sound like there about to come out of the valve cover . I need some revised lifters.

I hope not to.But its comming from just under the valve cover. It sometimes is quiet.Iv not had any problems today with it running.Dont really know what it was.Hell the motor has 160000 miles on her .So mabey its time for a rebuild
