Hi.
I've got an 1G GS (4G63), I washed it today and when I drove it home afterwards the water temperature went over the normal temperature it usually have. I pulled over and sat idling for 10 minutes, the temperature increased even more, the fan didn't start at all. When I stopped the engine the overflow bottle was full and there were a small amount of coolant on the ground.

I let it cool down, replaced the thermostat with an OEM one and added 2 liters of water and took it for a drive. The water temp was stable at the normal temp, I didn't idle for long though.

I tried the A/C, usually both fans starts when I star the A/C but they didn’t move an inch. I've checked the fuse for the radiator fan (located at the little fuse box on the positive side of the battery), and it was ok.

What else could it be? Temp switch?

I'm grateful for any help. Hope you understand what I wrote

Regards

Anybody? Checked the relay today, switched the horn relay with the fan relay and it didn't change anything.

The fact that BOTH Fans are dead is the big clue here - That;s kinda rare as they are pretty much independent - I certainly would start at checking every Connector, & make damn sure you looked at the right Fuses.

Yes it is.

I've got the technical manual on a CD. I found a note saying if both fans aren't working the thing to check is the "sub fusible link No. 3". I also found which one that is. It is one of those big fuses on the passenger side. I will check that one tomorrow. Is it possible to just yank it straight upwards?
