I'm new to the DSM community including the Automotive field. Found out that my rad fan isn't working so I thought it was faulty, I changed the fan including the thermostat. Still doesn't turn on.

I asked a mechanic I know to give it a check. He said relay and fuse is good but checking the female port he only got a ground put no power. Even I was confused since it went into electrical stuff. He mentioned it could be the ECU isn't reading it or a damaged wiring harness.

Looking through the different forums here, the most common one I see is to check the Radiator Fan switch. If anyone had a similar situation please let me know what to do.

Even turning on the heater to the max and pressing the throttle a bit to warm the engine doesn't start the fan.

Remove the fan relay and run a jumper wire from the 12v feed directly to the fans. This will rule out or verify a fan or connection issue.

The fan switch doubles as the CTS for the ECU, so the engine would always run junky/rich if that weren't functional. It isn't common for the ECU to have problems but you could find out with a little diagnosing.

I see. I did do a jumper wire to the fan individually both were good but I just think it may be an electrical issue. I'll keep checking

Problem has been fixed. Thanks to my neighbours, they checked the fuse box to see if anything is bad. I don't know the full details but underneath the fuse box a wire was melted resulting in having a blown fuse. They cut the wire out and placed it outside the box with a new fuse. Radiator fan started to work again.
