 well my stupid self decided the other nite to give a 350z TT a five car start, and i beat him well but the problem is, i think i snaped both front axels in my launch, now the bigger issue is while driving it today i think the u-joint on the drive shaft broke or my transmition is slipping cause the car was moving but when giving it gas to saccelerate harder the rpms whent up but the speed when up very very slowly, can andone give me any ideas on what this might be?

I strongly suggest you get this and turn on the spelling and punctuation settings, reading your post is painful.

Ah, if you think you broke an axle then how about looking at it to see if it is broken? If you suspect it is broken then stop driving on it or you will damage something.

im sorry for the spelling i have 3 broken fingers right now, but i knew the boots on the fronts were cracked allready, but after i put some new rubbers on yesterday and lauched it i could like, how do i ezplain this, like i could feel the axels slipping

axles don't slip, but a clutch will

you need to look over the car and see whats broke and whats not

then read up to determine what a slipping clutch is like

Not 100% true, an axle can break but not come apart, I had it happen and it drove me nuts for 2 months trying to figure it out. The splines stripped off one of the axle end but stayed in place, the axle would spin in the CV spider.

If you broke a U-joint it would be obvious, your prop shaft would hang down.

If you broke an axle and it didnt come apart try this, put lines from Hub to Hub down the axle shaft and do some tight turns. This was the only way I was able to see that the axle had turned in one place but not another.

If the clutch is gone put it in second gear from a dead stop and let it out slowly, if the car just sits there your clutch is gone.

If you blew the center diff it will sound like a coffee can full of bolts rattling when you turn.

it s the clutch it fully took a dump on me today thats for all the feed back guys:rocks:

Did you remove the transmission to verify this or are you guessing.

Unfortunately, our drivetrain aren't the most efficient designs in the world. If you break a rear axle the drivetrain will divert almost all the power to that rear well. The engine will rev up but the car will accelerate VERY slowly. Simulating a burnt clutch, even a seasoned mechanic will confuse this.

Get under the car and pull on each rear axle REAL hard as if you are trying to yank it out the rear differential, you will know which one is broken. One will not move at all, the broken one will seem like it will (and can) fall out the differential.

my friend john who only works on dsms, got under the car and checked the axels and said they were all fine im gonna get under it again tomorrow before i tow it to the shop and double check but i allready ordered the clutch, but if your right i love you LOL and i will be selling an act 2900 with a sprung 6 puck for 500

You guys slay me, you can't post a sarcastic comment about grammar and/or punctuation if you aren't willing to use it yourself.

I'd check the classifieds, E-bay, or dsmtrader. You could always call Mitsubishi Graveyard, they are bound to have one.
