R9 Camshaft Marking?

Hello, been a while since needing to post.

I recently purchased a rather modded DSM, and I popped the valve cover off today to check out the cams,
and I found that I cannot identify them...

I have searched for a while, and can't come up with an answer, it's also odd that both intake/exhaust have the same stamps.

R9 & 04.

Anyone else familiar?

Are those the **only markings on the camshafts?

Yup, those are the only markings. They do look rather aged, so I guess I will just have to assume they are stockish camshafts from some other manufacturer.
My thinking is that, if these were some performance cams, they would at least have a name or obvious marker.
I'm going to be changing the belt, so I will get the gears off, and see if any marker is present there, doubtful though.

I'm guessing you've already turned the engine over by hand to see if there were other markings? There are plenty of aftermarket cams out there that don't have special markings on them like the brand name.

I did turn the engine over by hand. Nothing special. I will be taking the gears off soon.

Raymond, you 100% on that, that's actually what I thought KIA or Hyundai. I read that someone had some R3 or R5 cams, and that Hyundai marked them as such.
