Reading is fundamental, do what everyone said above and be done with it. Stock looking exhaust, a few resonators and a cat, and you should be fine. No wonder why hes got you by the balls with a ####ing carbon fiber muffler. Stock=No hassle. If you dont like the stock look heres a suggestion. Go back to comp. stock and run an electric cutout, I wish I would have done this instead. Run 3" pipe,cut out like two feet after first down pipe bend near right behind the front tire and then run the stock shit from there. I guarentee you'll get no more problems.
 
I have an RNR cat back with a magnaflow muffler with a 3" inlet and a dual 2.5" outlet. Its not that loud IMO. I have a video w/ audio of me getting on it pretty hard, if you want I can send you the vid, or if someone here can host it. (its pretty large however)
