I just got a Greddy type-s bov and I know your supposed to connect the lower/second nipple to a boost source. My question is can I just tap into the boost source for my mbc instead taking everything apart and drill and tap a new hole?

But I read it supposed to help with flutter/compressor surge and that's what I'm getting no matter how soft I adjust it.

You can try to hook up the lower nipple to a boost source, but I don't think that's really going to help you that much. If you need to, tap your intercooler pipes for a boost source. That should be where your MBC boost source is anyway.

I tried it and I'm still getting surge no matter how I adjust it or where I'm at on the throttle. I really dont wanna do the single spring mod either cause then it'll blow open at high boost. And as for t is for turbo saying that's just how they sound is wrong because I have 2 friends that have type-s's and they dont sound like that, I know what compressor surge sounds like and that's what it is.

Single spring mod could very well have your car sounding like a hamster dying when it blows off. For me, I had to find a hapy medium where on light throttle I got the slghtest bit of BOV/compressor surge, but when I was on the gas properly it was blowing off properly.

I had your same problem so I hooked up the bottom nipple, however, it is a small boost leak unless you take it apart and seal it, which is why you can't hook it up to your BOV line.

Another solution would be to do the dump tube cut. It may sound weird, but I did this and replaced the accordian section of the stock intake at the same time and had to adjust my BOV about halfway hard after that. Be warned that this will almost definitely change how your BOV sounds though...
