I have a Innovate Wideband Air/Fuel Ratio LC-1 Wideband Controller Kit Red DB Gauge 3796 kit coming and need advise. Lots of good threads here but none addressed my question.

1) I want to keep factory sensors hooked up and working. Both front and rear O2 plus all others.

2) Is there an empty/unused pin at ECU I can tap into to log the Wideband sensor(for when I get Link). It will be in a 3rd bung in exhaust between 1st O2 and cat. I do not want to simulate NB.

Youre doing the right thing. Dont sim nb02. It doesnt work nearly as well as a dedicated nb signal from a separate sensor. There are def pins you can use. MDP being one off the top of my head

I have see those, are there inputs that are not being used by other sensors?

Why are you opposed to using something like the rear o2? It will not affect your performance and when you get dsmlink you can disable the cel. It does not need to use any inputs on the ECU unless you want to log it.

Not trying to thread jack but i was wondering If I put my wideband in my o2 housing how much would the life be shortened compared to being 2-3" after the flex section?

I have an extra bung to weld in for it and am going to be buying dsmlink v3 in the next week or so. So if it would be better to put in the o2 housing I will instead of spending more $ on getting a bung welded in.

It'll be shortened, but I don't think you'll find a specific time frame from anyone as it depends on fuel, driving style, etc. People have see varying lifespans from a wideband in the front o2 spot.

If you have a spare bung to weld in and don't replace your front, put it in front of the flex section. That way if you develop a leak in the flex section, it won't skew your wideband readings.

Very smart! My downpipe is only 3 months old so I doubt ill have any issues there but I never thought about that, it would def save future headaches for sure.
