I have never really had any luck pushing more than 13-14 lbs with my mbc. Bought a new BOV thinking it was that, still no luck. Is the way I have my MBC hooked up correct? This is a random ebay mbc.

I have read multiple threads about MBC saying the top nipple on MBC goes here etc. Mine has both nipples on the side which is kind of confusing.

Edit : I don't have boost leaks.

It's not really important where the nipples on the MBC are located as such. It's important what their function is. Also, we'd need to know the basic kind of MBC it is. Ball and spring, bleeder style, etc. Can you take a pic of yours or maybe provide a link to a similar one? That'll help for sure.

This is actually the exact one.

Yes, I dont have the T thing hooked up. What's the purpose of that?

i use that exact one and it works very well. i am able to control from 15psi to 30 psi. i didnt think this cheap one would work. i only tested it out for fun and i ended up tossing my turboxs for this. here

Awesome picture. So I can cap off the top nipple?

Edit : comments on the youtube video are saying he installed it wrong. is this true?

You want to it to vent actually, preferably you can plumb it back to the intake.

So I hooked it up as shown above, and it definitely works :hellyeah:. The only issue I am having now is, turned all the way down, it spikes to about 20+lbs at 3/4 throttle in 1st / 2nd gear.

It runs fine 15-18, but it seems above that I hit fuel cut or maybe a giant boost leak? Its a sudden studder, and it drops all boost.

Evo 3 16g, on stock injectors and fuel pump.

Edit : I am only wanting to be running 16-18 MAX! :p

Your problem is you are thinking backwards. You want to run the boost but not spend the money to do it. Sure, the $12 mbc can get you there. But it can also put your car down "why did my motor seize" road.

Get a fuel pump, drop the $100 for evo injectors, get a wideband and buy a used safc. Less than $500 later, no fuel cut, running 20+ psi and you won't have to screw with anything until you want to go bigger. I'm running exactly what I described and couldn't be happier.

Fuel Cut. More air than fuel that can being supplied. An upgraded fuel pump of at least a 190LPH or a 255 and a regulator to keep from getting too much fuel with the 255.
