i ordered a hks ssqv for my 2g talon tsi.....i want to have it open vented....is this possible without getting a new maf and moving it...ect?
thanks

You need a MAFT setup in blow thru mode to vent properly. Without one you'll be running rich and your comp will be reading metered air that's not going back into the system. Not familiar with that bov, but even recirculated you should still be able to hear it. Do what's best for your car and recirculate it or get the maft setup to vent properly.

Expanding on the statement that you will be able to hear it even if you have it recirculated, getting a hard upper intercooler pipe will have a noticeable effect of increasing the sound, in addition to the other positive benifit of flowing better. A hard intake will also help with sound when setup to recirculate your BOV.

woa sorry i didnt search propery cause theres a lot of threads about this.....thanks for the help! also what do you guys use to tune it after you do the gm maf mod

And we certainly don't need another, the answer will always be the same, "recirculate your BOV".
