Question on certain clutch bleeding procedure...

Ive been thinking about it, it seems like it might. ive been trying to bleed my clutch for the past couple days & nothing works. I think this would only work if there's nothing but clean fluid in the system though, like mine since ive been trying to bleed it. i've tried having a friend pumping the clutch while i bleed, ive tried manually pushing the slave rod in myself, nothing has worked.

makes sense though, as you pump it, the air comes out into the bottle & rises to the top, & it sucks in the fluid when you let up on the pedal..as long as you keep the reservoir filled up inbetween pumps, it should work right?

I don't know if that would work..I would think that it wouldn't get air out of the system. Think about it like this, if you were looking at the vacuum tube (From the bleeder screw to the bottle of fluid), and stared at an air bubble in the tube, as someone pumps the pedal, I think you would just see the air bubble moving back & forth. As in, not going anywhere..You probably need a speedbleeder to make this work, so that it'll only go in one direction (Into the bottle), instead of back & forth. Never tried it though so I could be wrong...

Also, I've never seen a speedbleeder that fits our cars. I found one that was the right diameter & thread pitch, but there was only about half the threads on it that the stock bleeder had (Too short), so when I loosened it enough for the fluid to flow out, it would leak past the threads..I looked at Kragen, Pep Boys, Autozone...they all had the same wrong-sized bleeders. I think online's the only place to find a real speedbleeder replacement for our slave cylinders.

If that method didn't work, I would suspect there are other issues in the system. Give us more history of the problem itself.

..GSXerr, you let the master reservoir go dry once or twice while doing the procedure, didn't you.
