Toronto,
Hey, i have a 1g fwd talon and know that if i upgrade my turbo then its going to be hard to put that power to the ground. so im wondering is there any turbo that spools slow and great top end power.. and if there is not, is there any way i can push out over 400 ponies to the ground without losing too much traction without slicks?

no you cannot use slicks for a daily driver car you can use drag radials that are DOT approved only slicks are not. I hope that you realize though that theres more than just a big turbo in your future if your looking for 400hp.. a 50 trim sounds like a good option for you also start looking for suspension parts too.. with 400hp traction is going to be a serious issue and your gonna need more than good tires to hold that thing to the road

oh i know that im gonna need more then a big turbo ..... im just plannig ahead so i know waht parts to buy to support the turbo... dont wanna buy things more then once if i dont have to... how much do drag radials cost and is the phantom or sbr lsd any good?

Thx so far for the advice

drag radials cost anywhere from 120-250+ dollars a piece i know BF Goodrich makes some decient stuff but there pricy also ive heard good things bout the SBR lsd but if your gonna be puttin down 400+hp i think you might want to look into a Kaaz or a Quafie lsd instead

OPK... ive been looking at the v-trim and it sounds like the right turbo for me.. so i think im going to go with the v-trim... does anyone know if the sbr or phantom lsd's are good enough for around 400hp or do i need to get a quiafe or kazz?

Thx every for the informaion so far

go with an oversized turbo so there's more lag. turbo lag helps fwd cars with traction. the longer the lag the further down the 1320' you've gone, and when the boost builds up traction is not the issue anymore. you wouldn't spin the tires off the line as much with a big turbo coz you have to wait for the power to come on, and by that time the car already has momentum.
